LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINUM FRAMES & FORKS - Coast Trail models are all built upon lightweight Series 1 aluminum frames and aluminum forks. This ensures that your young rider won't be held back by a heavy bike, as a lighter bike is easier to control and balance. The weight savings goes beyond the frame, and we ensured that every component spec'd offers the best balance of weight to durability. KIDS-SIZED COMPONENTS - Kids are smaller all over, so our designers took that into consideration when designing the Coast Trails. Handlebars and grips are of smaller diameter than found on adult bikes, brake levers are specifically designed for smaller hands, and even the pedals and saddles are proportionally smaller. This helps kids maintain comfort and control while they are still developing their skills as riders. SMOOTH-ROLLING 2.0" TIRES - Smooth-rolling Marin x Vee Tire 2.0" wide tires are used on all Coast Trail models, with smooth center for easy riding on paved surfaces, and inverted tread on the sides for added safety when the paths are rougher.

We took our Matt Jones-inspired Marin San Quentin and shrunk it down to fit 24” wheels. It's the perfect bike for kids who are ready for their first proper, hardcore hardtail mountain bike. The Marin San Quentin 24”, just like the big kid’s version, shreds the boundaries of the mountain bike genres - doing it all with a huge splash of big air, speed and style. Designed with the input of freeride legend Matt Jones, the San Quentin takes the DNA of our dirt-jumping Alcatraz and mutates it into a go-further and faster all-round, hardcore hardtail. The San Quentin 24” will feel just like a ‘grown up’ mountain bike to your little ripper, built with a stout Series 2 aluminum frame, 24” wheels, an RockShox suspension fork, 9-speed microSHIFT drivetrain and kid’s specific hydraulic disc brakes.

We've taken the Alcatraz 1 and scaled it down for smaller riders. Built upon the same tubing as the larger models, it features a 360mm reach, 69° headtube angle, and 72° seattube angle, with 369mm chainstays. A suspension-corrected rigid CrMo fork is designed to handle rough-and-rowdy riding, and a simple and stout single-speed drivetrain and Tektro mechanical disc brakes ensure a fun and safe ride.

Because young rippers need that Rifty Love too! Our take on the ultimate do-it-all trail bike, bringing big-bike performance for younger riders. The Marin Rift Zone Jr is made to party, just like the full-sized Rifty. It has 24" wheels that are a little smaller than our full-sized bikes, making it the perfect gateway ride for tweeny riders. And just like the 'grown up' Rift Zone, it has 130mm rear travel, a lightweight aluminum frame and our super-plush MultiTrac suspension platform for endless good times on the trails. And best of all, the Rift Zone Jr can grow with your child. Got another little shredder on the way? The Rift Zone Jr shares the same frame, fork and shock as the Rift Zone 26". Simply swap the wheels to 26" and longer cranks as your child outgrows the Jr.
