Balancing the ALL-NEW Scale's DNA, we've created a whole new breed in the world of hardtail mountain bikes. A racing inspired geometry, coupled with a straightforward and sharp design provides the all-new Scale 900 line with its distinctive character and aggressive look—a bike that proudly flaunts its definitive characteristics. This rig is ready for just about anything, are you?
TECHNOLOGIES:
ADJUSTABLE HEAD ANGLE
With the new Scale RC, you can adjust the head angle by 0.6 degrees slacker or steeper. This can be done without cutting cables or bleeding brakes. All you must do is disassemble the bar, rotate the headset cups 180 degrees, and reassemble.
DESIGN
The new Scale’s design was uncompromisingly subjected to our pursuit of perfection and drive for pure efficiency, strictly following the guiding principle of "Form follows Function". In our search for the ultimate, yet most simple construction, we’ve centered the design around the essentials by balancing the bike’s DNA in order to create a whole new breed of XC bike. The result is a straightforward and clear design, which provides the all-new Scale with its distinctive character and aggressive look: a bike that proudly shows off its characteristics.
HOLLOW DROPOUT CONSTRUCTION
The dropout features an advanced, hollow construction, which allows the axle head to clamp against the inner surface of the dropout and leaves the head flush with the surface. This enables the lightest possible construction approach and a clean-looking design from the outside. While being able to directly shave off 7.5g with the new dropout construction, the optimized design favors a narrower construction of the rear triangle area, which in turn enables a reduction of 20g in this area of the frame (HMX-SL).
MONOCOQUE CONSTRUCTION
The new Scale RC’s monocoque construction enables production using only one mold for the main section of the bike, the front triangle. Applying our carbon expertise, the new Scale, therefore, consists of only 3 separate pieces molded together. This directly translates into an increased level of efficiency due to the reduced number of junctions required therefore decreasing weight while keeping superior stiffness – something we’re always aiming for with hardtail race bikes. With the full frame constructed as a system, the monocoque design enables the frame to handle forces as a whole.
SERVICE DOOR
A little service door, which is accessible through a downtube cover, allows easy access to the interior of the frame without the need to remove the Bottom Bracket. Frame maintenance is made easy with regards to cable routing.

- RockShox SID SL Select+RL3 100mm
- RideLoc 2 / 3-Position Remote

- Maxxis Rekon Race Foldable Tires
The ALL-NEW Scale RC World Cup is the perfect blend of stiffness, lightweight, and 30 years of carbon expertise. These characteristics, encompassed in an uncompromising frame design decisively accelerate the Scale away from the pack with every pedal stroke. Whenever you find yourself up against the clock, tip the scales in your favor.

SYNCROS FRASER IC COMBO
The New Scale features the Fraser iC combo from Syncros. Integrating the cables presents a number of unique problems and the Fraser was designed in part to address this. Syncros’s designers worked on the shape to allow the cables to flow under the bar and around the sides of the stem before disappearing into the headset with integrated plastic parts to keep it clean and efficient. This avoids bends or kinks in the cables and provides a minimalist front end. All our bars and stems feature multiple options for computer, light, and camera mounts both on top or under the bar.

Built for...whatever
We made the Chameleon for riders who like to sculpt their ideal bike, and aren’t afraid to experiment. Whether 29er or mixed, geared or fixed, multiple major configuration transformations are made easy via the interchangeable dropouts. The low slung top tube and progressive geometry means this bike blends into whatever surroundings you place it. From raucous short-cuts across town to skipping the city altogether. It turns itself to trail exploration with the flip of an Allen key, thanks to the triple-bolt cargo cage mount under the downtube and standard bottle mount within the frame.
Design Details:
Aluminum frame
The Chameleon reinvents itself yet again, returning to the no-nonsense alu roots that make it our most versatile hard-working hardtail of all time.
MX or 29
Options for full 29 or MX setups means you can opt for speed and comfort for hauling or quick and nimble handling.
Single speed or gears
Adjustable dropouts make it a multi-geared trail charger to single-speed racer to bikepacking mule...and pretty much anything imaginable in between.
A Mule That Rules
Tougher and stronger than any race horse, the Chameleon blends stamina with agility to create a whole new kind of beast. A triple-bolt cargo cage mount under the downtube and additional mount within the frame ensures the Chameleon is ready to play wherever The Wild Things Are.
Fun-loving, shreddy spirit
The low slung top tube and more progressive geometry (65.5-degree head-angle and longer reach) provides all-trail capability.
Lifetime warranty
Built to last many lifetimes and supported by the legendary Santa Cruz rider support.
